In 2021, the II phase of construction in Stara Pazova began. The plan is to extend storage capacity by additional 5000 t.

Ultra Low Oxygen (ULO) cold storage in Stara Pazova is one of the most modern facilities in the world for apple storage and handling. The operation is based on reducing the temperature and increasing the relative humidity, in order to preserve apple properties without chemical interventions.

The new capacities will have a state-of-the-art line for apple calibration and packaging, as well as a hydrocooler which naturally lowers fruit temperature by water cooling to 2 degrees, thus preserving fruit freshness.

The construction will take place in three phases, with a total facility capacity of 5,000 tonnes and an area of 7,200 m2 (administrative building, calibration and packaging facilities and cooling chambers). The cold storage is located 30 km from the orchards, which completes the entire production process, shortens the time of fruit transport from the moment of harvesting to storage and its control as much as possible.

In this way we offer customers the best quality and availability of some apple varieties up to 12 months, without loss of fruit quality.
